LEGAL
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated August 27, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of Modra, including its Discord bot, dashboard, websites, integrations, and related services.
1. About Modra
Modra is an independently operated community-management service based in Missouri, United States. Modra provides modular tools for Discord communities, including tickets, applications, moderation and safety workflows, onboarding, role menus, announcements, giveaways, streaming integrations, server-status tools, and related features.
Modra is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, Twitch, Kick, Rockstar Games, FiveM, Cfx.re, or any other third-party platform unless expressly stated.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to use Discord in your country.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase a subscription or accept these Terms for a community.
- You must provide accurate information, protect your Discord and dashboard access, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.
- Your ability to access a community dashboard is controlled by the community owner and its configured Discord roles and permissions.
3. Community-owner responsibilities
Community owners and authorized administrators are responsible for:
- configuring modules, channels, roles, permissions, retention, and automated actions;
- ensuring staff access is appropriate and reviewing sensitive actions;
- providing any notices and obtaining any consents required for their community;
- responding to member questions and requests about community-controlled records;
- maintaining community rules that comply with applicable law and platform policies; and
- confirming that Modra's Discord role is placed high enough to perform configured actions without giving it unnecessary permissions.
Modra support personnel do not automatically receive access to a community's dashboard or private records. Support access must be expressly granted by the community owner and can be revoked by that owner.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Modra to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party platform policy;
- harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone;
- distribute malware, phishing material, scams, spam, or malicious links;
- collect or expose personal information without authorization;
- circumvent permissions, probe security, interfere with service operation, or abuse APIs;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation or authorization;
- use automated actions without appropriate oversight where harm is reasonably foreseeable;
- resell, sublicense, copy, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Modra except as permitted by law; or
- use the service in a way that creates excessive load or risks disruption for other communities.
5. Community content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you or your community submits to Modra. You grant Modra a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, display, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions required to submit content and configure Modra to process it. Modra may remove or restrict content when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, enforce these Terms, or maintain the service.
6. Moderation and automated actions
Modra can assist with message deletion, timeouts, role changes, ticket access, anti-spam responses, honeypots, and other moderation workflows. Automated systems can produce false positives or fail to detect harmful behavior. Community owners remain responsible for selecting settings, reviewing outcomes, maintaining appropriate safeguards, and providing appeal or correction processes where appropriate.
Modra does not guarantee that it will prevent every raid, compromised account, malicious link, service interruption, moderation error, or loss of community content.
7. Subscriptions, trials, and complimentary licenses
- Paid plans, billing periods, server allowances, and prices are shown at checkout.
- Eligible new customers may receive a 14-day free trial. Unless canceled before the trial ends, the selected paid plan begins and the payment method is charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual billing period until canceled through the available billing portal.
- Additional server licenses are recurring add-ons and remain subject to the primary subscription unless identified otherwise at checkout.
- You may cancel future renewal at any time. Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, amounts already paid are non-refundable and access continues through the paid period.
- Modra may change prices prospectively with reasonable notice. A price change will not retroactively alter an already-paid billing period.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Its checkout, payment, tax, and buyer terms also apply. Modra may grant complimentary licenses to owned, partnered, testing, or otherwise approved communities. Complimentary licenses have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be modified or withdrawn with reasonable notice.
8. Third-party services
Modra depends on third-party services such as Discord, Twitch, Kick, Lemon Squeezy, domain and hosting providers, and FiveM or txAdmin endpoints when configured. Your use of those services remains subject to their terms and policies. Modra is not responsible for third-party outages, API changes, content, account actions, or discontinued functionality.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Modra available, but the service is provided without a guaranteed uptime commitment unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Features may be added, modified, suspended, or retired for security, legal, technical, platform, or product reasons. Beta and test features may be incomplete or change without notice.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Modra and remove it from your Discord server at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary for nonpayment, a material breach, security risk, legal requirement, platform request, or harm to Modra or others. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Provisions that should reasonably survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute provisions—will remain in effect.
11. Intellectual property
Modra, Pocket Kenzie, associated branding, software, interfaces, documentation, and service content are owned by or licensed to Modra and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms provide a limited right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of Modra intellectual property.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Modra is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every moderation decision.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Modra and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, goodwill, or community access; or third-party conduct arising from or related to the service. Modra's total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid for Modra during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Modra and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your community content, configuration, misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person's rights.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, claims that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Missouri.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Modra changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
